Ugandan Kids Choir

The children of the Ugandan Kids Choir visited the Historic Red Brick Church of Exeter on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 to share their African folklore through music and dance.

The children – five boys and five girls ages 8-12– performed traditional African singing, dancing and drumming as well as some contemporary Christian songs with an African “twist.”  The audience were blessed and several of our members heard the call to sponsor these children. Following the event the church hosted the children and visitors to a Taste of Uganda  – Ugandan food prepared by host families and church members.

The event was sponsored by Childcare Worldwide,  whose  mission is to build a bridge between concerned people in the West and children in the developing world.  Their objective is to help meet the spiritual and physical needs of children through a ministry that emphasizes education based on the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Childcare Worldwide works in Uganda, Kenya, Haiti, India, Peru, Mexico, Sri Lanka, Thailand and the Philippines.
